About
The purpose of B.E.S.O. (Bilingual Education Student Organization) is to promote the content, the procedure, and the philosophy of bilingual-bicultural education at the University of Texas at Austin and in the Latino community in Austin. Our organization supports professional development, community service, and continuing education for both colleagues and the community. The BESO program offers students the opportunity to learn, teach, and innovate strategies and activities. Our philosophy lends itself towards the principles of education in the native language for the benefit of the child. We are a community of learners and represent the bilingual education community at UT Austin.
